U.S. SOLAR FUNDING'S FINANCING OPTIONS
U.S. Solar Funding will work with you and/or your organization to arrange the best funding solution for you. We have a variety because each prospective customer has different needs. These options can include the following choices.
LEASES
U.S. Solar Funding writes Operating (or True) Leases. An operating lease allows the system owner to monetize the tax incentives and then pass them through to the host customer. The Lease has the option of buying the system at the end of the agreement for a small residual payment. Most system owners find that a U.S. Solar Lease (or PPA) is the most affordable path to system ownership.
POWER PURCHASE AGREEMENTS
U.S. Solar Funding will write a Power Purchase Agreement or PPA for certain types of entities. PPAs are popular with businesses and a necessity for non-profit entities to allow the system owner to monetize the tax incentives. The system owner is able to pass the savings from the tax incentives through to any user, even a non-profit business. The PPA has the option of buying the system at the end of the agreement for a small residual payment.
MONTHLY OR PREPAID LEASE OR PPA
U.S. Solar Funding offers Pre-Paid Leases or PPAs for customers that want to save money on financing costs. The upfront payment and the residual payment many times add up to a lower dollar amount than a cash purchase price. We offer Monthly Leases or PPAs for our customers that want to spread the cost of the financing over the 7 Year term. This short term reduces the amount of financing cost by thousands of dollars over a 15 or 20 year lease or PPA.
